The 2012 Winter Wine Festival is planned for Thursday, 21 June-Saturday, 23 June at High Street Shopping Village in Durbanville.
This year we are creating a farmers market atmosphere with more foodie exhibitors and 2 food courts where visitors can relax and enjoy their goodies - paired with a glass of wine obviously.

Once again the popular winter-themed event will take place under a huge tent, which is spanned over the atrium areas of the centre and heated with lots of gas heaters to get rid of the winter chill.
Over and above the usual tastings visitors can participate in additional activities, included in the ticket price like the Cape Wine Academy Wine Theatre and on-site wine sales.
Tickets are available from 1 May via 3 methods: Buy your tickets on-line on High Street Shopping Village's Face book site or at www.ticketbreak.co.za or at the door. On-line: R80 pp. At the door: R90 pp. Group and pensioners discounts available.
The 31 wine exhibitors at the 2011 festival all specialize in wines which are perfect for cold winter months with full-bodied reds, warming Ports and beautiful sweeter options like Muscadel, Jerepigo and Noble Late Harvests providing the perfect ending to any meal.
For lovers of hand-crafted brandies, there will be a small selection available for tasting. However, many wineries will present their bubblies, selected white wines, rose’s and other products too, so there’s definitely something for every taste!
Up to 150 wines are available for tasting.
An integral part of the Festival is the food and confectionary exhibitors who offer their wares for tasting and for sale at the event. Ranging from small cheese makers, home bakers, jam, chutney and syrup producers right through to various olive and spice offerings, there’s something for every foodie to enjoy!
Everyone involved with the Cape Wine Academy is passionate about wine, our objective is to enhance other people’s enjoyment of wine by providing them with knowledge about vines and grapes, and about the way wine is made. Over 100 000 people have enrolled for their courses since 1979, participants hailing from not only this country but from the rest of the continent and overseas.
